Our Environmental Impact

Reducing energy consumption is a crucial factor during the production of aggregate materials. Therefore, we have selected various industry components and mobile equipment to mitigate our overall rate of consumption. By utilizing our automated stacking conveyors and highly efficient Volvo wheel loaders, we reduce fuel consumption and waste. This, coupled with our automatic capacitor bank power factor correction system and Cummins power system, our operations run smoother and more efficient with clean energy production.

The innovation that improves our impact:

  • Our Metso MX4 multi-action cone crusher is designed with technology that assists in reducing operating costs and down-time by 10%. The MX4 efficiencies are possible through utilizing wear parts up to 70% by weight. Metso’s newest cones utilize 20-30% more of wear components comparatively**. This coupled with our C120 Jaw and its leading-edge Kinematics provides more productions efficienties; reducing energy requirements*.
  • The Masaba large volume Tele-Stacker system utilizes a patented Track Technology and innovative design, thus developing the industry’s safest telescoping conveyor. This technology reduces over cycling of rolling stock, and therefore improving our overall environmental impact even further.
  • Our Calrose power system incorporates capacitor bank technology reducing energy loss during operations. This reduction of energy fluctuation allows us to be 15-20% more efficient in power production**, leading to reduced fuel consumption and extensive cost savings.
  • We have chosen the Volvo L260H Wheel Loader, which boasts 5% more power and 15% more capacity, capitalising on fuel efficiencies of 15-20%*** over that of comparable equipment. This is accomplished through Volvo’s D13J tier 4 final compliant engine, with industry leading emission control.

Decreasing Wastage

Our team is able to adapt and customize its plant configuration for each gravel deposit or quarry application to reduce waste product and optimize the given resource potential. By modifying our plant matrix, we are able to utilize more of the resource in the desired final product. Additionally, we are capable of blending or resizing potential by-product into a usable secondary product, as a value-added service for our clients. We will utilize all material as it’s available, minimize waste, and preserve future resources, while maximizing our clients’ long-term profits.

Building a Sustainable Community

At Hadean, we truly believe that people matter. We are committed to a culture that promotes corporate social responsibility, and this can be witnessed though fair treatment of our employees and all our stakeholders.

We pride ourselves on community involvement and strive to support many different charities and organizations in our local and global communities. Currently, our team donates to organizations such as Playing for Change, the SPCA and The Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation.

We are focused on maintaining an ethical framework that enables us to provide our services in a profitable, sustainable and responsible way.

Cam Reid, Selkirk Paving Ltd, Crusher Foreman
I had an opportunity to work with Aaron at Waitabit pit in Donald BC. This area has been, and is still, a very difficult resource for aggregate. The whole valley has many challenges in order to meet MOTI spec. Aaron and his team were successful in meeting those challenges and utilized the materials to make spec, on time and on budget. I look forward to working with Aaron again on whatever project requires his team. I have no problem recommending Aaron to complete whatever contract Hadean is awarded.
