Job Title: Loader/Heavy Equipment Operator.

Job Description

This position requires qualified applicants to work as part of a dynamic crushing operating. He/She will be responsible for the operation of heavy equipment during aggregate processing. This includes, but not limited to: feeding primary crusher, stockpiling finished material, site development and clean up, and necessary routine maintenance of their machine. They will assist in setup/teardown, screen changes, running repairs, site development and all facets of day to day operations. Shifts will be days and nights; on a rotational shift when available. Remote locations and adverse conditions and inclement weather could be factors during operations and maintenance. A positive team dynamic and chemistry is crucial.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Health and Safety

Ensure adherence to Hadean’s workplace policies and standard work procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control.

Maintain a high level of Health and Safety performance through effective communication, monitoring and revision of standard work procedures.

Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace.

Attend and participation in all scheduled health and safety meetings and training.

Environment

Ensure adherence to Hadean’s environmental policy, work standards, management plans and regulatory obligations and requirements.

Integrate environmental policies, programs, and practices into all activities of the organization.

Maintain environmental awareness amongst workforce by holding meetings and actively participate in planned environmental programs and drills.

Production

Ability to follow given instructions to help create consistent plant utilization and plant performance while promoting a safe work culture.

Help perform regular inspections of all plant areas to ensure best operating practices are being followed.

Assist in recognizing plant operating deficiencies and bring resolution to processing issues.

Perform routine inspection of equipment and auxiliaries to ensure safe operating condition and effectiveness.

Diagnose equipment operating defects focusing on identifying root cause and coordinate maintenance works with fixed maintenance team.

Clean aggregate stockpile management.

Report on shift activities and performance indicators to the on-site supervisor on daily basis

Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role

A minimum of 10 years industry related work experience.

Extensive equipment experience in earth moving, and aggregate production.

Understanding of crushing and screening.

Understanding of target materials and or specifications.

The ability to self-motivate and rise to challenges, while working safely and achieve operational targets.

Computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office software; Google sheets, & Apple products.

All previously obtained certificates and documentation should be included with your resume.

(for example, but not limited to: first aid, WHIMIS, or TDG certifications; previously obtained industry/ position specific training certificates, etc…)

Work Environments/Conditions

This position requires individual to be on site at all times during shift. He/she must be physically fit and have the ability to work extended hours. Some requirements for this position include: Lifting, climbing stairs, working around mechanical equipment, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

 

Work Location / Travel

Hadean is a mobile crushing operation that is required to travel into and from various locations.

These locations will be determined by allocated contracts and potential client needs. Depending on locations and time lines, accommodations may or may not be provided. This will be offset by a varying live out allowance. Travelling in and out of site will be employee’s responsibility, and on site transportation will be provided. In the case of extreme remote locations to and from will be compensated.
